Happy New Year, and I wish you good health and happiness as we begin 2021. The challenges we have faced together in the past year have been like nothing any of us have ever experienced before, and I am struck by the resilience and adaptability shown by the global community in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am hopeful, too, that we continue to see this positive progress for years to come.
Having come on board several months ago as Chief Executive Officer for Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), I am humbled and excited for the opportunity to contribute to the good work carried out by the organisation in 2020.
Although Malaysia was by no means immune to the business and economic impact of COVID-19, TalentCorp was nevertheless able to make great strides in enhancing our nation’s talent pipeline, promoting talent diversity to drive the Future of Work, and facilitating talent mobility to and within Malaysia. I am confident this will set the stage for more to come.
As we move forward into 2021 and beyond, TalentCorp will continue to focus on strengthening the pillars of our business –
Optimise Malaysian Talent,
Attract and Facilitate Global Talent, and
Build Networks of Top Talent so that our nation's human capital is empowered to realise their full potential while supporting the needs of industries seeking to move up the global value chain.
Together with my team, I also look forward this year to ensuring TalentCorp continues to provide value through all our customer touchpoints and, just as importantly, build on the strong partnerships we have established with our stakeholders in Government, industry, academia, and the community.
